The village of Aldborough in north Norfolk is a thriving rural community with a village green at its centre. The Weaver’s Way long-distance footpath passes through the village which regularly wins ‘Best Kept Village’ acclaim. The green has hosted a traditional fun fair annually on Midsummer’s Day since the reign of King John and village cricket makes a picturesque scene in season. Aldborough is twinned with Villiers St. Denis in the Champagne area of France.
Grateful thanks to Martin Sexton for the use of his watercolours on this and other pages.
